Exclusive Quick Fire Interview: Gemma Pranita

Neighbours lovely, actress Gemma Pranita (aka Jade Mitchell), gives Twinkle Magazine a peak into her style and beauty regime...
How would you describe your style?
I have a very eclectic taste and style when it comes to clothing. How I dress is usually a reflection of my mood. Sometimes i'm in a boho hippy mood; other times I love comfy boyfriend jeans and sneakers when i'm feeling tomboy-ish.

Jade is a character that is passionate about fitness. Do you share that?
I'm learning to. To be honest, I used to do very little exercise. However, whilst researching the role of Jade, I introduced myself to many different types of fitness routines. Now i'm hooked on tennis, and I go to the gym a few times a week.

What are your tips for keeping healthy?
I'm a big believer of 'everything in moderation'. I'm pretty strict with healthy eating Monday to Friday; but when the weekend arrives I allow myself all my favourite indulgences. Particularly ice-cream!

Do you have a specific beauty regime every morning or evening?
I cleanse and moisturize my face every morning; and i'm pedantic about wearing sunscreen everyday. The harsh Australian sun peeled the paint off my car. Imagine what it's doing to my skin!

What are your favourite beauty products?
When it comes to make-up, I love all things Mac. With cleansing and moisturising, I love Neutrogena and Dove Products.

Fashion From Sosolo

We at Twinkle Magazine HQ love our latest discovery- online fashion boutique Sosolo (www.sosolo.co.uk).
It mixes quirky clothing and accessories from independent retailers (So You), with vintage sourced from across the world (So Vintage) and unique up-and-coming young designers (So Premium). The perfect mix of fashion types to create your own individual look!

We adore the unusual but super-stylish rings from new Central St.Martin's trained jewellery designer Michelle Oh; part of Sosolo's So Premium range. Her Brass & Silver Firefly Ring Trio (£160) is our favourite.
We also adore her crocheted choker-style necklaces; perfect for the Autumn/Winter choker trend. Chokers were seen all over the catwalk from Donna Karan to Valentino. This Crochet Navy & Lilac Ruffle Necklace (£60) is perfect!

Final Destination 5 Premiere Fashion

Final Destination 5 was released in the UK this week. We think this fifth offering is the best of the films so far! The gorgeous actress Jacqueline MacInnes-Wood really stands out; and she upped the fashion stakes at the film's Los Angeles premiere earlier this month. She looked stunning in her silver textured mini-dress and silver sandals. You too can recreate this look.

In “Final Destination 5,” Death is just as omnipresent as ever, and is unleashed after one man’s premonition saves a group of coworkers from a terrifying suspension bridge collapse. But this group of unsuspecting souls was never supposed to survive, and, in a terrifying race against time, the ill-fated group frantically tries to discover a way to escape Death’s sinister agenda.
The second of the Final Destination films to be shot in 3D, “Final Destination 5” is directed by Steven Quale, marking his major feature film directorial debut. The film brings together an ensemble cast led by Emma Bell (“Frozen,” TV’s “The Walking Dead”) and Nicholas D’Agosto (“Fired Up!,” TV’s “Heroes”), along with Miles Fisher (TV’s “Mad Men” and “Gossip Girl”), Arlen Escarpeta (“Friday the 13th”), Jacqueline MacInnes-Wood (TV’s “The Bold and the Beautiful”), P.J. Byrne (“Dinner for Schmucks”) and Ellen Wroe (TV’s “Huge”). Rounding out the rest of the cast are Courtney B. Vance (TV’s “Flash Forward,” “ER”), David Koechner (“The Office,” “Anchorman”) and “Final Destination” franchise icon Tony Todd (“Hatchet II”).

Pull-In Underwear

We at Twinkle Magazine HQ love super comfy Pull-in underwear, and we are not the only fans! Madonna's daughter Lourdes, and pop-lovelies Keisha and The Saturdays are known to be wearers of the brand.
The French line of pants feature a range of pretty graphic prints such as strawberries and hearts, and all retail at 30 Euros.
All designs have the signature Pull-in logo on the waistband; which has 10x stretch and is made from the same elastic as snow goggles!
Pull-in is a premium label that is famed for their comfort and perfect fit. For more information, and to purchase online visit: http://store.pull-in.com/eu/en/

Rich Jewel Tones

Gorgeous jewel tones are the order of the day this Autumn/Winter. Gone are the bright colours of Summer. Instead think of the deep sumptuous tones of rubies, emeralds and amethysts; hues that will make you look and feel sophisticated and regal. Sequins are in too; so get set to sparkle!
Jewel tones were everywhere on the catwalks from (L to R) Diane von Furstenburg and Gucci to Ralph Lauren. Here's our pick of our favourites too...

The Vintage Cosmetic Company False Eyelashes

We at magazine HQ love the 1950s-inspired false eyelash range from The Vintage Cosmetic Company. There are 5 different styles to choose from- named after fictional 50s pin-ups:

"Maybe you're a glamour puss like Kitty or more of a girl next door like Connie. If you want to show off your almond eyes then Betty is your girl, or maybe you're a doll face like Nancy or if you are just cute and girly then Gracie is your girl".
We love the Betty lashes, as they really enhance our eyes. You can shop online for all the lashes at www.thevintagecosmeticcompany.co.uk for £6 each, or £15 for the whole set!

False eyelashes aren't the easiest things in the world to put on, however; so we asked beauty lover and blogger Kia Simpson from Make Me Up to give us a step-by-step photo guide to how she applies them. Pay close attention...

1. Remove the eyelashes with a pair of tweezers...
2.Bend the lash into a u-shape to make it flexible and easier to apply...
3.Apply a thin layer of glue along the edge and wait a few seconds for it to go tacky...
This image is from falseeyelashes.com
4.Apply and press in place until you are confident they are stuck. Use eyelash curlers to gently clamp together the false eyelashes and your own lashes; eliminating any obvious difference...
